Armed with a 30 mm M230 chain gun, Hellfire missiles, and Hydra rockets, the Apache delivered precise and overwhelming firepower in support of ground forces. Crews from C Co, 1-227 ARB conducted deep attack, armed reconnaissance, and close combat missions across Iraq’s deserts and urban terrain. Its survivability systems and battle-proven design allowed it to operate in highly contested environments.
