A protective safety cap is included to ensure the tool is stored safely when not in use. By applying pressure, the Scriber creates precise shallow grooves, perfect for adding new detail or restoring lines that have faded during the sanding process.

For best results, it is recommended to use a metal straightedge, durable plastic tape, or a flexible ruler for curved lines to achieve pinpoint accuracy.
