This kit features a faithful reproduction of M224 components (tube, M7/M8 baseplates, M170 bipod, sight unit) with crisp 3D-printed detail including fine welds, sight housing, and bipod mechanisms ready for painting. Two build options are included – handheld or conventional mounting – making it ideal for infantry company or weapons platoon displays.
The M224 LWCMS is a smoothbore, muzzle-loading 60 mm mortar designed for close support at the company level. Capable of firing both conventionally with bipod and baseplate or in a lightweight handheld mode, it replaced the older WWII-era M2 and M19 mortars, offering greater accuracy and range. Its versatility made it a staple in US Army and Marine units throughout modern conflicts.
