Re-usable die-cut mask set
The set includes three sheets of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.
Beer Spitfireis one of the rather unusual and interesting chapters of Supermarine’s Spitfire Mk.IX history. Used as a morale booster, barrels with beer were attached under the wing pylons and that way the plane was used to transfer alcohol to the servicemen instead of delivering bombs or carrying extra fuel. Technically illegal, the process was supported by some breweries who donated the precious liquid. That was flown and used as an encouragement and is remembered as one of the funny sides of the war history. This mask set is designed to cover the British insignia and numbers included in the Airfix’ kit #A17001A – ”Flying Dray”. Only the insignia visible on the mask set is included. The set is usable with any properly scaled 1/24 Spitfire Mk.IX tooling.
