The legendary F/A-18 first flew on November 18, 1978. Known as the aircraft of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, this carrier-capable fighter takes on many tasks, including fighter escort, fleet air defense and close air support. During Operation Desert Storm, the F/A-18 showed that, on a single mission, one aircraft could serve as both a fighter and a bomber.
Replicating an EF-18A as it appeared with the Spanish Air Force during the 2016 NATO Tiger Meet, this 1/72 scale, die cast model is a Hobby Master model featuring eye-catching stripes on its tail and ordnance. This aircraft has a lot of fine features, such as a canopy that can be removed for a better view of the detailed cockpit, a separate canopy with a fixed actuator is included for display in the open position, a speed brake that can be constructed in the deployed position, andlanding gear and gear doors. It measure 9″ long and 6″ wide.
