Ranking among the most legendary fighters in history, the F-4 Phantom II entered service in late 1960. During its career, it set a number of speed and altitude records, able to reach a top speed of Mach 2.2. The aircraft was also well-armed, carrying up to 18,000 pounds of weaponry.
