Assigned to VF-84 “Jolly Rogers” from January 1970 until July 1975, the F-4J Phantom II was aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42) Carrier Air Wing 6 (CVW-6). In 1965, VF-84 started operated their F-4B when they were aboard the USS Independence. It wasn’t until they moved to the Roosevelt when received the “J” version.
This 1/72 scale, Hobby Master, die cast replica of an F-4J Phantom II, as it appeared with VF-84 circa 1972, features authentic markings and professional hand-painted details, an opening canopy, loads of optional armament, optional-position landing gear, and a display stand. 10¼” long.
