A carrier-based fighter first flown in January of 1947, the F2H Banshee served both the Marines and Navy from 1948-1961. It was particularly prolific during the Korean War where its admirable performance at high altitude led to its usage as a USAF bomber escort plane. It also flew numerous recon missions during the war, equipped with six high-powered cameras.
Featuring seven sets of authentic markings including those for the VF-41 “Black Aces,” this 1/72 scale plastic kit replicates the Cold War bird and features a glazed canopy, a well-appointed cockpit, realistic air intakes, wing-mounted weaponry, and detailed wheel wells.
