The product is based on the appearance of the ship before the anti-aircraft armament was strengthened in the second half of 1942.
Special parts are included to recreate the state in which the openings of the rear torpedo tubes are covered with canvas and blocked off.
Special parts are used to recreate the vertical linoleum unique to Kuma, as opposed to the horizontal linoleum decks of normal ships.
Etching parts are included to recreate even the finer details that are difficult to recreate with injection parts.
Etching parts include funnel caps (mesh-like), handrails, floatplane hoisting derricks, sidelights, and ladders.
The product is designed with a snap-fit system that does not require adhesive.
The main parts are represented by color-coded plastic parts, and some color tones are reproduced with realistic stickers that have excellent surface conformity.
The assembly method is all snap-in type, and by dividing the parts at the waterline, both offshore and full hull types can be produced.
