The Bofors 40mm gun is an anti-aircraft weapon that has been in service in various roles around the world since 1934. It saw extensive combat action during World War II and has been used as both a free-standing weapon and one equipped on another vehicle. The modernized version suitable against jet aircraft, while sharing almost nothing with its predecessor aside from the caliber, is also referred to as the “Bofors.”
This 1/35 scale kit &#8212 a replica of a French GMC truck equipped with the 40mm Bofors &#8212 features finely molded olive drab pieces, a realistic chassis, a glazed windshield, a well-equipped cab and rear gunner station, an authentic 40mm weapon, treaded tires, numerous photo-etched parts, realistic accessories, and historical decals.
