Manufactured since 1981, the Z-9 is a multi-purpose utility helicopter that officially entered service with the Chinese Air Force and Navy in 1994. Though some models are equipped for combat, the versatile aircraft was not developed specifically for attack purposes; it was designed as a stopgap until the lethal Z-10 was introduced in 2012. The Z-9 remains in service with 12 national militaries.
This 1/100 scale, die cast model is an Air Force 1 reproduction of a Z-9 flying with the People’s Liberation Army. It features free-spinning rotors, see-through canopy and cabin windows, a well-equipped interior, realistic weaponry, authentic markings, and a metal display stand. Measures approximately 4¾” long with a 4¾” rotor-span.
