Italeri 736 1/24 Scania T143 M500 Top Line – Model Cars

The European truck manufacturers carry only very few conventional (long-hood) trucks in their roster because of legal length limitations for tractor-trailer units. The new conventional, built by Scania, is therefore mainly used for extra-heavy tasks and construction work. Due to the fact that the engine is mounted in front ot the driver’s cabin, the T-143 features a spacious driving compartment and has a lower noise level than the R type. Engine and cockpit are identical to the Streamline version. In Australia this version is used succesfully for the so called Road Trains, which carry up to three trailers with an overall length of 43 m. The extended wheel base (4,2 m) improves the truck’s dnving comfort.
