The Louisiana Tigers were a group of fierce Confederate soldiers known for their distinctive style and aggressive fighting during the American Civil War. Originally formed from New Orleans volunteers, they gained a reputation for bravery as well as unruly behavior in camp. Wearing colorful uniforms, including the famous “zouave” style, they stood out among Confederate ranks.
