Commissioned in May of 1943, the USS Bunker Hill was among the first aircraft carriers equipped with the F4U Corsair, a fighter whose problematic carrier-landings initially led to its ground-based service with the Marines. This 1/30 scale, King & Country, metal figure is a hand-painted replica of J.T. Blackburn, a commander of the VF-17 “Jolly Rogers” stationed on the USS Bunker Hill. Measures approximately 2½” tall.
