Taking only roughly 100 hours, Operation Desert Storm was held on February 24, 1991 with the 1st and 2nd USMC Divisions who fought their way through more than 100 miles of Iraqi territory annihilating seven enemy divisions, destroying more than 1,600 tanks and armored vehicles, and taking over 22,000 prisoners. The M60A1 tanks contained explosive reactive armor (ERA) which added an extra layer of protection and extended their life. Backed by shaped charges, the armor is blown away when damaged to reduce further injury.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model is a Hobby Master hand-painted replica of an M60A1 Patton tank, as it appeared with the Marine Corps in Operation Desert Storm, features engraved panel lines, purposely weathered body and insignias, a movable metal turret, a metal main gun, realistic tracks, authentic pad-printed markings, and a display stand. 5¼” long.
