Browning M1919 A4 .30 cal (7,62mm) – with anti-aircraft M20 mount (used e.g. on M3 Stuart) or D7431 cradle (e.g. M3 Scout Car)
The M1919 was an air-cooled development of the standard U.S. machine gun of World War I, the John M. Browning-designed water-cooled M1917
The A4 is the definitive and most mass produced version of the M1919 Browning machine gun produced from 1936 onwards.
Used by the United States during WWII, in Korea and Vietnam. Although from the 1950s onwards it began to be replaced with newer machine guns such as the M60.
Mounts included in set GM-35-087 was used:
D7431 – cradle and short pintle.
Developed in the 30’s. Used with:
– M24/M25 pedestal mounts for trucks
– M1917A1 ground tripod
– M29 skate mount (M2/M4/M4A1 halftracks, M3A1 scout car).
M20 elevator bracket mount with long pintle (D34914 cradle).
Height adjustable (2 positions) mount attached to the side of tank turrets, used with:
– M2A4 light tank
– M3/M3A1/M3A3 and M5/M5A1(early) light tanks STUART
The set includes:
– turned brass gun barrel with drilled cooling jacket
– 3D printed machine gun parts
– 3D printed cradle, pintle and M20 mount parts
– 3D printed parts for 3 different ammo boxes
– decal with markings for M1 ammo can
Assemble the parts according the instruction and replace original plastic pieces.
