The MiG-25 – created as a rapid interceptor to deflect the threatening US XB-70 Valkyrie bomber – was first flown on September 9, 1964. This aircraft was built with a pair of enormous turbojet engines, capable of launching it to a top speed of Mach 3, and the Foxbat was considered one of the fastest production aircraft to enter service.
Replicating a MiG-25PD Foxbat as it appeared with the Syrian AAF 5th Aerial Squadron, this 1/72 scale, die cast model is a Hobby Master replica, featuring the flag of Syria on its tail. It comes with an open canopy that shows a detailed cockpit, interchangeable extended and retracted landing gear, a presentation stand, and detachable ordnance loads. Measures 13″ long and 7¾” wide.
