The Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 1 is a German anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) carrier designed for armoured warfare.
Developed in the late 1960s and entering service in the early 1970s, it was a key component of West Germany’s armoured forces during the Cold War era.
Mounted on a modified chassis of the American Marder infantry fighting vehicle, the Jaguar 1 features a turret housing four Euromissile HOT (High subsonic Optically guided Tube-launched) anti-tank missiles. These missiles offer formidable armour-piercing capabilities and can engage targets at significant ranges with high precision.
The Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 1 played a crucial role in West German military doctrine, providing mobile anti-tank firepower and contributing to the defence of NATO’s Western flank.
