Thunder Model 35009 1/35 US Heavy Wrecker Ward LaFrance M1000 series 1 – Military Vehicles & Tanks

The initial Series 1 came in 1941, total of 69 wreckers series 1 were produced. Series 1 wreckers design was simpler than the following series, they had their front winch powered through the gear box, no rear winch, but they had a small pulley mounded to the rear body instead, and hand operated crane boom. Spare wheels were mounted crosswise behind cab. They were painted in olive drab and originally used 11,25-20 tires.
