The legendary SBD-1 Dauntless dive bomber was the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps’ dive-bomber. The aircraft served at Pearl Harbor flying off the USS Enterprise, but is mainly remembered as the bomber that dropped the fatal blows on the Japanese carriers at the Battle of Midway in June 1942. In total, the Dauntless sank more enemy shipping than any other Allied bomber.
This 1/48 scale plastic kit accurately replicates the SBD- Dauntless. It includes detailed panel lines and rivets, intricate cockpit and landing gear, a bomb and machine gun, and masking tape for clear parts. Assembly required. Skill level 3. It measures 8″ long and 3″ tall.
